THURSDAY 6/12

9am Long ride Tillamook (map

“Creamery/Ice Cream/Cheese Ride.” This all-day ride and on highways with 55mph limits. Highway 6 to Tillamook is technical at the top but super scenic. You also ride to Astoria, then down the coast to Tillamook for a lunch break, then into Portland. 

10am Short ride Multnomah Falls (map)
Journey to Oregon’s beautiful Columbia River Gorge and ride along the Columbia River Gorge Historic Highway as we visit several waterfalls leading up to Multnomah Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in the United States. There will bo opportunities for short hikes to some waterfalls. Light food and ice cream are available at Multnomah Falls. The Historic highway is a small, two-lane road with good pavement but expect a lot of turns, hills and vehicle traffic. The maximum speed limit on the ride is 45 mph. Tickets are required at Multnomah Falls but the VCOA will be purchasing them in bulk. 

10:30 short ride  Council Crest, Fairmount Blvd Loop. Crazy fun technical ride with amazing views and homes.

1:30 pm short ride Rocky Butte -
NE Portland “weird” tour: 82nd Ave, deep NE places like the Wooden Chicken, Sandy Jug,  pot shops, food carts and numerous sports and dive bars.

FRIDAY 6/13

9:30 Long ride Wheatland Ferry ride

1pm long ride Sauvies Island Ride Good doable ride for most scooters. Topaz Farms has food, parking, music venue, souvenirs. Loop around the island is 16 miles, great riding. Offshoots to beaches, stores and such. Reachable from Skyline Blvd with a short hop on Highway 30.
